Yoga Goes Mainstream: Mac Vs PC With A Twist Of Yoga

Posted by admin On April - 30 - 2008

Yoga has definitely gone mainstream. Have you seen the latest ad in the .Mac Vs PC series of TV commercials. I found it and figured I would share it with you.

Perhaps she’s the one who should be practicing the Yoga routine to de-stress.

A friend of mine, who also does some of my graphic work, has been trying to get me to switch to a .Mac for years now. Every time I go over to work on a project the first thing he does is brings me to the .Mac site and goes straight into sales mode. You’d think .Mac was paying him to try and convince me to switch… Is that what happens when you buy a .Mac They make you sign a contract trying to switch your friends and family…Not very zen of them. Please don’t sue me .Mac…I was only kidding. Actually I have been thinking about switching to a .Mac and believe my next computer just may be a .Mac. My friend would be thrilled to hear me say that so shhhh! Don’t tell him ok.

My biggest concerns we’re compatibility but with the introduction of Microsoft Office to .Mac my PC days just may be numbered. Anyway enough about my rant. While surfing youtube I also found this .Mac Vs PC spoof which was also themed around Yoga. Hope you get a chuckle out of it.

Nintendo Does Yoga With The New Nintendo Fit.

Posted by admin On April - 25 - 2008

Nintendo has taken gaming to the next level. No more sitting on the couch for hours on end as parents and loved ones try unsuccessfully to pry that game controller out of the hands of their beloved GAMER. Instead Nintendo has taken a different approach to gaming altogether. The Nintendo is simply less superior to it’s competitors like the Xbox 360 and the playstation 3 but what it lacks in graphical capabilities it more than makes up for with it’s cutting edge interactivity making the player become “one” with the game. (How Zen of Nintendo)

So what the heck does Nintendo have to do with my Yoga For Health site you ask? Well after having seen the Nintendo Fit in action I was pleasantly surprised to see that listed among the list of games within the FIT was Yoga. The participant stands on a Balance Board and performs a series of Yoga poses.

Some of the neat features of the Nintendo FIT is that it allows you to input your personal information like your weight and height and it will determine your BMI( Body Mass Index).

When performing the Yoga poses the Nintendo Fit actually tells you your center of gravity which is such an important aspect of Yoga. It also instructs you on breathing which is yet another important aspect of Yoga.

The Nintendo Fit will keep track of all of your stats from your Yoga routine so you can tell if you’re improving and to what degree. Another benefit of the Nintendo FIT is that you can input external information such as attending a Yoga class or Performing a Video Yoga Routine over the Internet.

So as you can see this is why I just had to write about the Nintendo FIT on Ivechosenhealth.com. It just seemed to be the perfect “FIT”…(Excuse the pun but I had to).

I have included a video in this post because I figured if a pictures is worth a thousand words then a video would speak volumes.

Don’t forget to leave a comment…I would love to hear if you’ve tried Nintendo
