Nintendo Does Yoga With The New Nintendo Fit.

Nintendo has taken gaming to the next level. No more sitting on the couch for hours on end as parents and loved ones try unsuccessfully to pry that game controller out of the hands of their beloved GAMER. Instead Nintendo has taken a different approach to gaming altogether. The Nintendo is simply less superior to it’s competitors like the Xbox 360 and the playstation 3 but what it lacks in graphical capabilities it more than makes up for with it’s cutting edge interactivity making the player become “one” with the game. (How Zen of Nintendo)

So what the heck does Nintendo have to do with my Yoga For Health site you ask? Well after having seen the Nintendo Fit in action I was pleasantly surprised to see that listed among the list of games within the FIT was Yoga. The participant stands on a Balance Board and performs a series of Yoga poses.

Some of the neat features of the Nintendo FIT is that it allows you to input your personal information like your weight and height and it will determine your BMI( Body Mass Index).

When performing the Yoga poses the Nintendo Fit actually tells you your center of gravity which is such an important aspect of Yoga. It also instructs you on breathing which is yet another important aspect of Yoga.

The Nintendo Fit will keep track of all of your stats from your Yoga routine so you can tell if you’re improving and to what degree. Another benefit of the Nintendo FIT is that you can input external information such as attending a Yoga class or Performing a Video Yoga Routine over the Internet.

So as you can see this is why I just had to write about the Nintendo FIT on Ivechosenhealth.com. It just seemed to be the perfect “FIT”…(Excuse the pun but I had to).

I have included a video in this post because I figured if a pictures is worth a thousand words then a video would speak volumes.

Don’t forget to leave a comment…I would love to hear if you’ve tried Nintendo

One of the most important elements of Yoga when a person first begins practicing is learning to breathe correctly. Yoga teaches that by utilizing proper breathing techniques that the practitioner will experience a sense of calmness and total relaxation

http://ivechosenhealth.com/If you’re receiving good instruction then the more you participate in yoga, the better your breathing techniques will become. By mastering your breathing it will help you to remain calm in situations where you would have previously felt stressed.

Did you know that public speaking is one of the greatest fears that most people have? It’s no wonder that many public speaking courses combine relaxation methods into their training. Learning to relax will help to eliminate or at least control the fear that can overcome people when expected to speak in front of strangers.
Those who study and practice Yoga on a regular basis are a lot calmer and can control stressful situations better than those who have not used any form of relaxation or stress relieving techniques.

Another benefit to practicing yoga is the elimination of tension and anxiety. Many professional sports men and women who practice Yoga have noted feeling less anxious and tension before their respective sporting events. This higher state of relaxation allows the athlete to focus more on performing at their highest levels rather than being distracted. Practicing Yoga is the answer if you’re looking at achieving that state of mind and body prior to your next sporting event.

It should also be noted that athletes practicing Yoga have greater conditioning. A Yoga practitioner has a more supple body which aids in the prevention of injuries in athletes.
